Blackberry Crumble with Fig Jam & Lemon

With leftover bounty from the summer, we highly recommend this family fav! Beautiful blackberries have finally arrived at our local market and we’ve decided to put them to good use. Enjoy this Mediterranean twist to a classic berry crumble.



2-3 pints fresh or frozen blackberries

Rind of 1 lemon, finely shredded

Juice of 1 lemon

1/3 cup Feudo delle Ginestre Fig Jam

1 cup rolled oats

3/4 cup all purpose flour

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 stick butter, finely sliced



Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine berries, lemon rind, lemon juice and fig jam. Place at bottom of baking dish. In a bowl, combine oats, flour and sugar, mix well. Layer mixture over fruit. Add slices of butter to top. Bake for 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
