Paying It Forward to Raise Money for Haiti

Friday, January 15th, 2010

As our hearts go out to all of the people enduring desperate circumstances in Haiti, we’ve been thinking about how we can contribute. This weekend we are donating TAG Pay It Forward Cards to raise money at The Shop Agora in Seattle.

TAG Cards will be $1.00 each, 100% of the proceeds will go to Doctors Without Borders to directly benefits families and individuals suffering from the aftermath of Haiti’s earthquake.

What are TAG Cards (Tiny Acts of Gratitude)?
Each TAG Card embraces a positive quality such as generosity, compassion or kindness. Seek this quality in another and pass the card on when you find it. Then, share your stories!

We will be encouraging everyone who donates to Doctors Without Borders through a TAG Card purchase to share their stories of gratitude on our T.A.G. Facebook Page.

Sneaking a Spoonful

Monday, January 11th, 2010

If I have a weakness for any product, I would have to say that Dr. Pescia’s Wild Heather honey is what I sneak a spoonful of every time I pass the pantry.

Dr. Pescia’s unfiltered line of honeys are from Tuscany. Each honey fully retains it’s nutritional properties as all production is done by hand. Therefore, the honey is simply a decadent treat from the bees.

The flavor of Wild Heather is full bodied, thick in texture and tastes like the rolling hills of Tuscany, sweet, classic and unforgettable. Simply eat it off a spoon, or spread the honey over toast, pastries and even ice cream.

Taste the beauty of Tuscany in this imported Italian delight!

Extra Virgin Olive Oil Pressed with Fresh Sicilian Lemons!

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

Many of you have heard about or tried flavored olive oils. Many of these flavored olive oils are not the best of quality, not the oil and not the flavoring. Casina Rossa’s extra virgin olive oil is pressed with fresh Sicilian lemons. The rich olive oil is infused with bright, citrus flavors of Mediterranean lemons. There is nothing quite like it. As opposed to other olive oils that simply have flavor added to them, this olive oil is actually pressed with fresh lemons. If you haven’t tried it, you must! It ranks as one of the best selling products in our shop, and a Ritrovo gem.

Use Casina Rossa’s Lemon Olive Oil over pasta, in salad dressing and as a key ingredient in roasted chicken.
